Anthony Naples is a significant figure in the New York City electronic music scene, known for blending various genres such as house, techno, and hip-hop. His latest release, BBT / Seven, marks a departure from his usual conceptual style, presenting a more focused and jovial sound. The EP features a summery aesthetic with cosy dynamics, characterised by offbeat stabs and groovy basslines. The vocals add vibrancy without fully leaning into R&B. Naples explores a simpler, garage-infused house beat with a psychedelic approach to synthesisers, creating an engaging soundscape. The combination of elements results in festival-worthy tracks that are fresh and appealing. Overall, it's a fun release ideal for the end of the summer.
