British Murder Boys - Now, This Is You

From putting Birmingham on the map to becoming two of the most influential voices in the underground techno landscape, the British Murder Boys are back with a brand-new album, Active Agents and House Boys (2024). The latest single from this upcoming album, 'Now, This Is You,' is a full-throttle record that combines punk and industrial influences with decades of techno know-how. Venomous synthesisers slice through the speakers with uncontrollable resonance, only letting up for the brutal kick drums equivalent to wrecking balls that burst through the mid-range and shake the fibre of your being. The track is noisy and uncomfortable at times. It keeps constant pressure on splayed-out limbs, making you think your bones can break at any point. This cell culminates in an undercurrent of fear and violence as the track snarls like a rabid dog. The British murder boys set themselves apart from most other industrial-informed techno is the unmistakably uplifting message nestled in its core. It's a call for individualism, for unapologetic existence. It's a celebration of both the good and the bad, an acknowledgement as if to say, "Now’s your chance. Just be yourself!" As the closer of Active Agents and House Boys, 'Now, This Is You' exemplifies the Birmingham sound. Uncompromising, aggressive sounding, but based on love and community.

Active Agents and House Boys will be released on June 14th. Pre-orders are available now on the British Murder Boys' Bandcamp.
