Piska Power - Schwarz

After a short two-year hiatus, the human power plant returns with more electrostatic zaniness. Piska Power's industrial punk production shimmers like petroleum puddles on a factory floor. It's a retro-futuristic blend of the cybernetic and the mechanical. A frenzied and distorted bass pulsates continually, sounding like the revving of 1000 obsolete disc drives. Piska Power's acid-bleached Schwarz is ever-moving through modulation that keeps the tension high. Synthesisers sway between the ultra-digitised and the pops and splutters of old machinery. Suppose you are a fan of the British Murder Boys. In that case, you'll want to check this out with its similar punkish vocals with plenty of flourishes accentuated by a liberal use of effects. Schwarz aims to push the boundaries of electronic punk music can be. While the Schwarz is EBM adjacent, the Ignacio Rosa remix throws any ambiguity out the window, delivering a full EBM assault. The call and response by the incandescent strings and synthesiser sound like the intersection between transcendent and the blinking light fixtures in rundown hospitals. Every element has been turned up and sounds like a cyber-punk hellscape, making Chiba City sound picturesque in comparison.

Both tracks have a home in the warehouse. With its dramatic and vibrant energy, the Ignacio Rosa remix is a captivating piece that will leave you on the edge of your seat. The vibrant snares and ear-splitting highs create a thrilling sonic experience. Meanwhile, with its industrial flavour designed for club use, the original track offers a more compact and intense experience. Piska Power announces his return with this electric production.
