Tommy Vicari Jnr - 77 4 Life

Tommy Vicari Jnr bounces back into the sunny rooftop clubs with two stellar tracks, then capsule 8 with summer and the classic house sound we've all come to love. We couple straight into '77 4 Life' with unmistakable claps that chime with the warmth of a bustling crowd. The vocals bring a heartfelt gospel feel to the track. It's the house version of FloorPlan. Minimalistic melodies keep the truck driving along the locked groove to pump away through distant drums and smooth bass lines. Its quality is downbeat and perfect this summer, especially with the Inspector North flourishing. That was a welcome 80s synthpop fly to an otherwise breezy house exploration. That is, until day turns to night, the second track, 'Double Azar', begins. Soundstream-esque looped disco pumps in an injection of groove straight to the veins. Sparkly hi-hats and an everpresent hand percussion keep the track loose. French filter house elements give the rhythm guitars added movement. The pumping house baseline and the disco influences infuse this track with a classic sound but with a pronounced modern dance focus. Tommy Vicari Jnr wants to keep the audience on their feet with these two gems.
