Its unique ability to evoke emotions and create vivid mental images draws many to electronic music. It's rare but not unheard of when music can document a transition. We find a transition in .300 Whisper's latest album, Inhumanity & Justice (2024). It's a chilling collection of narratives that delve into the lives of individuals pushed to their limits.

Inhumanity & Justice flows between anxious mutterings into a much more devoted pragmatic warped understanding of what the protagonist thinks of the world. The collage of sounds begins by mashing together like schizophrenic whispers on the mind's periphery, slowly centring into a dogmatic truth. The Vocal Edit of 'Inhumanity & Justice' highlights the motif of .300 Whisper’s work, harnessing Mutado Pintado as the protagonist who monologues like Travis Bickle. The stripped-back instrumental showcases a psychedelic, noir-soaked mood that comes to the forefront in the Extended Edit. It's best considered the dark side of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. These eccentric orchestral flutes jam perfectly with the delayed plucks of guitars, firmly cementing the record on the outer edges of weirdo electronica. 'My Resources' sees Louisahhh serve up an equally chilling spoken word all wrapped up in a strangely relaxed 90s trip-hop rhythm. Both tracks are ideal for journeys, whether on the dance floor of an esoteric DJ or soundtracking your through town.

The album is a proggy blend of abstract electronica. It has a slow, marauding chug and an ominous undertone that never quite reaches its climax. The slow and constant descent into the mental abyss becomes much more impactful, like repeated words on the typewriter: "All work and no play makes a Jack a dull boy". It's a home run by Offen Music, and all involved with this project—once again pushing its boundaries further left field—proper new-age psychedelia for modern audiences.
